Five classes $100.00
We have
a model to work from every Tuesday developing the many
aspects of drawing and painting the figure including
proportion, shading, color and composition.
For this
class just bring conte; white and sepia and/or
nu-pastels in any variety of color and paper: newsprint
and/or smooth drawing paper 24x30 or smaller; 18x24 is
great, a chamois and kneaded eraser. You can work on
heavier canvas-papers and canvas with paint too.

or pastels
you are more than welcome to join in….just bring your
supplies!
Suggested Water Soluble Oil supply list:
ASEL
at Beltline and Central has most of these supplies. Tell
them you are in the Bonny class and they will give you a
discount on anything not already on sale:
Grumbacher's Max:
titanium white, gold ochre hue, cadmium
barium yellow orange, diozonine purple, ultramarine blue
or cobalt, cad barium red deep red and or cad barium
medium red, cerulean blue, payne's gray, perylene
maroon, burnt umber and or raw umber and ivory black.
And:
Grumbacher's Max: "quick dry" liquid and/or a small linseed oil. And:
Windsor Newton's Artisan: thalo green, magenta,
naples yellow hue, olive green, cadmium yellow pale hue.
If any of these are unavailable, get similar colors in
Grumbacher Max or Holbein Duo. There are many beautiful
colors by Holbein Duo you may want to add to your
palette too.
Oil Brushes:
You'll need a variety of sizes in filbert, bright and
flats styles. Some favorites are; Princeton Art &
Brush: 7400 series, 5400 series mostly flats and some
brights and filberts up to size 20, 6550 fb, 6550 OW,
6100 fb and most Richeson brushes including 9165
filberts, Eclipse by Windsor Newton; filberts
and Silver's Gran Prix 1001fb and 1003 flat Silver
White. The folks at Asel;
Beltline and Central are a big help.
Canvas:
You may like to choose gallery wrap so the staples don't
show.
Suggested Traditional Oil supply list:
Any oil paint brand you like of: titanium
white, gold ochre, cadmium barium yellow orange,
diozonine purple, ultramarine blue or cobalt, red,
cerulean blue, payne's gray, maroon, burnt umber and or
raw umber, ivory black, magenta, naples yellow hue,
thalo green, olive green, cadmium yellow pale hue. Add
to the list as you like.
Odorless paint thinner. (I have some at
the studio)
Linseed oil and/or liquin
Feel free to use the traditional oils or
the Water Soluble; the only difference is that you'll
need odorless paint thinner for clean up with the
traditional oils whereas the water soluble clean with
soap and water. Traditional and Water Soluble may be
mixed together but, odorless paint thinner will be
needed for clean up.
